The Lowrance GlobalMap® 5200C is a terrific value in GPS navigation based on a 12 parallel channel WAAS-enabled receiver and internal antenna, along with a super sharp 5” diagonal display that’s readable in virtually any lighting condition, serving up rich, vivid maps with brilliant detail, even in your boat’s cockpit at high noon. Because it’s compatible with radar, video, and satellite radio signals, GPS navigation is only the beginning of what can be done with the GlobalMap® 5200C. True to the Lowrance tradition, the 5200C is easy to use, and is super rugged as well as waterproof (right down to the SD/MMC slot.) The built-in background maps are more than adequate for traveling in the continental US on land and on bodies of water, and it’s easy to upgrade with the large number of compatible maps from Lowrance and other manufacturers, including Lowrance MapCreate® software that allows you to create even higher detail maps. Even without MapCreate®, the 5200C delivers 1,000 waypoints, 1,000 event markers, 100 routes with 100 waypoints, and 100 plot trails with 10,000 points each. Considering all of these powerful features and Lowrance’s track record for producing outstanding GPS navigation devices, we think the GlobalMap® 5200C is a great value.
