Desription ......... If you can get by using a grayscale screen, the iFinder Explorer GPS handheld by Lowrance represents a great value. The iFinder Explorer is rugged, reliable, and waterproof – in short, it’s ready to bring you closer to the outdoor action. The 3” (diagonal) screen is sharp and easy to read, serving up built-in continental U.S. and Hawaii maps that feature interstates with exit data. Lowrance has championed the outstanding WAAS GPS receiver technology used in their navigators, and the Explorer handheld is no exception. With the iFinder Explorer’s dual processors, choice of easy or advanced operation modes, and a built in electronic barometer and compass, there’s plenty here to make GPS assisted travels easy, highly accurate, and enjoyable. The SD/MMC slot offers read and write capabilities, so you can record the points on your journeys as well as load new maps from the extensive Lowrance GPS map and chart library, along with the many compatible maps from other map and chart manufacturers. Save up to 1,000 waypoints, 1,000 event markers, and 100 plot trails with up to 10,000 points per trail. The iFinder Explorer features 40 map zoom ranges in all, from .02 of a mile up to 4,000 miles. (The Lowrance iFinder Explorer® has been discontinued.)
