Desription .........  One of the best values in an affordable GPS handheld for outdoor use we’ve seen, the eTrex® from Garmin fits cutting edge GPS navigation into a very compact and easy-to-use device featuring a WAAS-enabled receiver, 22 hours of battery life (2 AA) and a waterproof design that can take a dunk in the lake or sea and still deliver highly accurate GPS data. The rugged eTrex® can store up to 500 waypoints and up to 10 saved tracks (up to 10,000 points in all). Though it is considered the base model eTrex GPS handheld, this “yellow wonder” comes highly recommended by Geocaching enthusiasts enjoying outdoor games and satellite-based treasure hunts. The 4-level grayscale screen is easy to read, while the five-button design is easy to operate with one hand.

Best Outdoor Global Positioning System Receiver : Hi! I am looking for a new Handheld GPS receiver. I used to have an outdoor GPS receiver before but it seems like it doesn’t work the way it is supposed to. Too bad because I think that one which I purchased before is not as durable as I thought it would be. I want to buy a new one which will give me better and reliable information. Although I want to keep it as close to my budget as possible, I still want to be able to find the best outdoor Global Positioning System receiver.

GPS FOR MY LAPTOP???? : I own an older Garmin Etrex Vista, it's great! Now I want to use my laptop (pc running Vista) to do all the same things that my Etrex does, ie. streets, topo, waterways etc.. I have Garmin's Mapsource topo's on CD that I would like to use, but if there is something better I will buy it. I have talked to Garmin and they don't get what I'm asking for. I looked at the Garmin Mobile PC GPS 10 X and 20 X. Garmin, did mention Nroute might do what I'm asking for,,but that they do not support it any longer. I don't think I'm asking for the imposible, I want to have a map in front of me when I'm on the highway, or when I'm offroad in my 4x4, or if I want to go out on the boat, I can see where I'm going... CAN SOME ONE PLEASE ADVICE ME?
