A notch above average : I have this unit for quite some time now, I am really satisfied with its large screen display, which is very clear in sunlight. The signal strength is excellent even indoors there are very few blind spots where the unit does not connect to the satellite all this is because it has a "SIRF Receiver". The signal is acquired very fast and the unit gives me accurate directions, I have found places that I did not even know existed. This baby is easy to use and hassle free.
The cons are quite a few though this unit is bulky and does not fit in a pocket nor does it stay properly with its Suction Cup Mount which loose its grip on the wind shield and comes off. Another big no is that it does not have voice recognition of streets, so you don’t have a sexy voice telling you which street is yours; this is made up partially by the name of the street being set in big bold letters at the top of the screen.
The fact that it uses old outdated maps with no current update is a big let down I found that the biggest and best theaters I our area were not listed. I would rate this device a notch above average.
