......... With the introduction of the StreetPilot c580, Garmin enters another winning device into the competitive European GPS marketplace. Not only is the c580 a pleasure to use, with custom points of interest on a 3.5 diagonal touchscreen that’s easy on the eyes; the wide variety of route setup features (like route avoidance and auto reroute) make it easy to get from place to place with a minimum of hassle. Voice prompts and a very attractive 3D map view compliment each other, making it possible to navigate to your destination with little reliance on the screen itself during actual driving time. FM traffic compatibility is always a nice feature in a GPS device, and the StreetPilot c580 offers that, as well as the ability to add 500 waypoints, and maps too (in addition to the preloaded European maps –an included DVD is loaded with even more maps.) Getting around the highways, byways, interstates and dusty backroads of any European town, city or village has never been easier or more convenient!

Near faultless GPS device from Gramin :
This is one GPS device with all the icing and cherries. You name it and this device has it. Some of the maps come preloaded so there is no much hassle of getting them from the website or paying for them. Navigation, Bluetooth, MSN direct, traffic alerts and a lot more its all there. The Bluetooth is terrific I select the POI get his number and called them up via my cell phone and I get to talk hands free while driving. MSN direct helps you get around traffic while driving. After registering for msn movietimes I had every show time listing for every theater in my Area, its real cool. Screen is sharp, detailed and completely readable even in bright sunlight. To top it all off it has an excellent User interface.
There very few negatives that come to mind, the maps seem to be a little out of date. The GPS routing software chooses some weird roundabout ways to get to the desired location. You cannot create custom or direct routes for the c580. The Bluetooth conversations are have a low volume even at full volume and there seems to be a back ground noise. Other then these few glitches this is a near faultless GPS device from Gramin.
