LowranceNET compatibility as well as the ability to be utilized with radar, weather radio and satellite applications are just a couple of the features that make it easy to appreciate this addition to the Lowrance GlobalMap® line of GPS navigators. The 8300C HD is compatible with a variety of maps and charts – all of them highly detailed and super easy to read -- ranging from proprietary Lowrance satellite maps and charts to those of other manufacturers. Suffice it to say that you’ll find it easy to identify fishing hot spots, wrecks and obstructions, as well as navigate to just about anywhere on the globe – on land or at sea. Lowrance has equipped the hard drive of the 8300C HD with highly detailed maps of the land and waterways in and around Hawaii and the continental U.S., and adding others is as easy as putting a memory card into the SD/MMC slot (which is sealed for protection against the elements, just like the rest of the GlobalMap® 8300C HD. Saving tons of waypoints and routes is virtually effortless, thanks to the 8300C HD’s ample memory. The 8300C HD is NMEA compatible for data sharing and networking applications, and of course, this GlobalMap® marine navigator and chartplotter from Lowrance features the same user-friendliness and rugged design that has become a standard Lowrance offering.
