Lowrance iFinder H20C : I bought the H20c because of all of the feature it offered plus the color screen. Used it mostly for a backup for my auto GPS,
Garmin Streetpilot. It was used very seldome. Never abused and kept in a soft case. I recently turned it on and it will not lock onto the satellites. I tried the soft and hard resets. tried an external antenna. still no satellite lock. Called lowrance, waited on the phone for almost an hour before I was able to talk to a Tech support person.
He was absolutely no help at all. He said that I would have to send it in for repairs and it would cost $162.00 plus shipping since my 12 month warrenty had expired. I bought the H20C brand new for $220.00.
I told him that when I started having problems I checked on the internet and found out that a lot of other people have had the same problem with this unit. He was well aware that this GPS has a major flaw but offered no response when I pointed this out.
The Ifinder H20c will be working fine one day and the next time you turn it on it will not lock onto the satellites and give your location. In other words "Its Dead." You can either pay the $162.00 to have it repaired or use it for a paper weight.
For those that own one, a word of advice. "NEVER" get yourself in a situation that this GPS is you primary source to get to a particular place or return to certain spot. IT WILL LOSE THE SATELLITE LOCK AND NEVER GET IT AGAIN, YOU COULD THEN BE IN A BAD SITUATION.
I don't ever plan on buying any more "paperweights" from lowrance.

iFinder H20c : This product is useless. You will regret it if you buy one. The Lowrance Company is not standing behind the inherit problem that was built into it and will not repair it. There needs to be a ground court case filed agains Lowrance since its apparent they sold many of this item knowing it had a particular defect. They should stand behind their product and recall/repair/replace etc for free. I paid over $300.00 for mine at Bass Pro. Like GLEND above I have an expensive paperweight. I will steer clear of Lowrance products from now on.

Lowrance iFinder H2O : I've got the same problem as the other two reviews...mine will not lock onto satellites even after doing the soft and hard resets. I tried calling Lowrance but hung up after waiting over half an hour. After searching the internet I found that lots of people are having the same problem. You're taking your chances if you're thinking about buying this unit. Mine is now collecting dust.

very satisfied : I have owned this GPS for around 5 years. It works graet for me, never have had a problem. The screen is a little small but I knew that when I puchaced it. O bought the mount with the magnifier and I have no problem seeing the screen. The only draw back for this device is screen glare, which I solved by making a hood for it. I would recommend this to a friend.

Don't buy : It's the same over all the world, Lowrance should be ashamed. You buy a product and you expect support.
Fabulous bit of kit when working, turn it off one day, turn it back on and will not lock to satellites ITS A BRICK!
I am in Britain and I will never buy from them again.
