Budget GPS device : The MyGuide 3050 is a sleek and compact device with a 3.5 inch screen, The map data is “TeleAtlas” and the software can be customized to suit the users’ needs; I really like that part. The route recalculation is quick, is has detailed maps with a very large POI database. To top it off it has SIRF III GPS thereby giving it fast and accurate satellite acquisition. The maps for the US, Alaska, Hawaii and Canada come preloaded thereby, helping you to save money.

The biggest drawback is that the clock it always resets when it is turned off. This is a major fault as the unit will display an error message upon syncing the time / date with the satellites. I got around this problem by Auto syncing time with the GPS system. MP3 player cannot be used while in Navigational mode so there are no Mp3 playing while checking out places. Over all a decent budget GPS device.
